Just focus on today

The idea of starting any kind of fitness plan, or changing your eating habits can be pretty daunting. Day One is hard enough without thinking ‘I’ve got to do this 5 more times this week!’ or worse, ‘I’ve got to do this forever!’. With that much pressure and looking into what seems like a gloomy, deprived future, it can be enough to put you off before you’ve even started.

So don’t think about it. Just focus on today. One day at a time, one step at a time. You can only live today anyway, so trust yourself that tomorrow you’ll be able to look after tomorrow. Breathe and say ‘it’s only for today’.

Just today. Just one step, one change. We can do this.
