Did you know that digestion itself uses up a lot of energy? So the more you eat at each sitting, the more energy you will lose to digestion and the less you’ll have to live life.

If you feel tired after a meal it’s because lots of resources have to go to your gut to break down, process, store, discard what you’ve eaten. It could be the amount and/or it could be the type of food.

Try having smaller servings (or changing up what you’re eating if even eating a small serve doesn’t help), and I read somewhere that drinking a lot before or during a meal can dilute digestive juices which won’t help either, so try drinking less with meals too.

I am feeling pretty tired this week which is why I’m looking at ways to increase energy! What do you do to perk yourself up when you are low on energy?
