A little bit about me…
Because what could be better than having to write a peppy intro about yourself??! Gah!
Still, I figure if you are reading here, you might want to know a little more about me. So! For the past five years I have been home with my (twin) girls, but now that they have started school, I am turning my mind to other things, like this blog.
Before that, I studied to be a personal trainer and worked both in gyms and running my own personal training business. I loved the relationships with my clients and I loved the work, but I have never been any kind of fitness machine. I have friends that hate to have to go a day without exercising… I am definitely not one of those people! When I was a trainer I was certainly active, and at times in my life I have been a bit of a gym junkie, but now I find myself struggling to get going, let alone be a boss!
The thing that fascinated me most from my time training people (and looking at my own patterns) was how motivation worked – or didn’t work! Making people work out once they were at the gym was no problem, and results would follow, but how to get the no-shows to show? And why are we totally into it sometimes, and other times can’t get ourselves off the couch?
So my passion has become reading and thinking a lot about motivation and trying out different things. I want to know how we can bring out the best in ourselves, and how we can become people who make the most of life and feel proud of themselves.
And that’s why I started this blog, because sometimes I read things and think ‘this is GOLD! people NEED TO KNOW about this!’. So I’ll be loading us up with thoughts, ideas, tips, tricks, research to get us on our way. Because I want to be regularly active, on top of things and proud – if you do too, let’s do this!
